the results are in....
my hair is now blacky, browny, red.
i like it...kinda, i liked the old color, before it turned green better...but
it is much better then black with green streaks let me tell you!
like i always say...
theres always an adventure with Nicole

well i am attempting to fix this hair disaster of mine...
could be good...could be very very bad
ill let you know the results in 35-40 minutes.

so i attempted to die my hair black tonight.
it is now green.

The other night I was at work and both me and my manager ended working some overtime. I usually walk home, its a nice little walk too, but tonight she offered to drive me. I informed her I was fine, but she insisted, she didnt want me walking in this neighborhood at that hour. I was like "I pretty much live in this area!" But nonetheless she drove me. As shes driving me she asked for directions, and I lead her onto East Hastings. Curious she asked..."so do you live in an apartment?"
I sheepishly said "no".
"A house?" She continued.
"No".
"A college rooming flat?"
"No."
"So where do you live?"
"In a hotel."
"With your own kitchen, and the building is just college students right?"
"Well, no, I dont have a kitchen and we only occupy 4 of the 30 rooms"
"Who are in the other 26?"
"Other residents of the Downtown Eastside"
As we pull up to the entrence of my hotel she asked if I was scared. I told her no, I have lived here for about a year and a half and that I enjoy it. When she dropped me off, she said "Nicole, you inspire me...I knew your heart was big, but now I can see just how big it really is...this is what attracted me to your resume in the first place, was all the volunteer work you do, what makes you do this kinda stuff?!"
She is so gonna get saved!

I wanted to blog this great story before Darren Hailes does! Haha!

So he slept in this morning and he had to catch a greyhound. We were supoosed to leave at 5:30am, and I gave him a call at 5:40, and he had just woke up. He gets to pick me up at 5:45....his bus was scheduled to leave at 5:45. We rush to the bus station and as we pull in, his bus was pulling out. We cut it off and the driver alows him on! Great fun times.

So the time is still 5:45 and my friend Crystal had to chech in for a flight at 6. I rush back downtown to pick everyone up and make it to the airport at 6:08. Im sure Crystal made it on. But I dont knwo the outcome yet as I am waiting at my moms for a bit.

Well have a good day...possibly I will write more at a later time!

So I was really sick this weekend. and if you know me you know I do not get sick.
I have been working since i was 14 and have never taken a day off work or left early because I was sick...yet sadly this Saturday I had to, I didnt think I was going to make it through....to top it off I had to miss a concert I was looking very forward to that night...my chemical romance...man I wanted to go so bad, but I physically couldnt get out of bed! It sucked big time...I really wanted to go to the concert.

Anyways I have caller ring tones, so if you call me 778-9084-614 you will here the song I sadly missed live.

Adventures with Nicole

If you didnt read the previous post (which is likely becuase allthough I had it saved for about a week I just got around to posting it 2 mins ago) then dont hesitate to read it, fun times.

This new adventure involves myself, two of my roommates, three war college students, tinsletown mall and a little game of cops and robbers.

It was a brisk Thursday evening and we have weekly prayer meetings, and it has been a common ritual for a bunch of us to "chill" at the local "mall" afterwords. This week I suggested we played cops and robbers. So we did. After a couple rounds ( inwhich I DID win) a security guy appraches...and KICKS us out of the mall for the evening!!!!

May I remind you whos idea it was to play cops and robbers?
Yup...it was me!

Theres always an adventure with nicole!

I said it before, and I will say it again....theres always an adventure when you're with Nicole.I should make this a weekly theme.

So last night I was out with my friend Ashley. We had a vehical (how we got that is an adventure in itself) and on our way we noticed that we needed gas. So we pulled into the gas station and filled up. $50 later I go inside to pay with the Corps/Company gas card....DECLINED. Hmmm, so I went to get my credit card where I would then be rembursed....DECLINED. We try the corps card again....DECLINED. Now Ashley had no cards on her, and because I am poor I did not have enough in my bank to cover the gas price. Then I thought it would be smart to charge $25 to each card...we tried half of it on the corps card...APPROVED! We try the other half on my card....DECLINED. So I go again for the corps card and it was APPROVED! Yay, so I go out to the van and turn the key....the car wouldnt start! So I go back into the gas station and said "Mr Gas Station Man, our car wont start" in the most girly way (you know to get sympathy) and he comes out to inform us we needed to be jumped. So I call good ol' Darren Hailes to explain my prediciment and what advice to I get? "Wait for someone to pull in and ask them to give you a jump!" Well, shortly after a couple pulls in and jumps us, they were so nice. Okay now its time for the adventure to begin. The last time I was hanging out with Ashley, who is from Florida, she mentioned one of her favourite things to do was drive around and go to a beach late at night. So what do we do, drive around and go to a beach of corse. We get to Kits beach, and becuase we just got our car jumped we couldnt turn it off, so we left it running and walked breifly on the beach. Then being geniouses that we are, we thought it would be fun to drive onto the beach. Fun? Yes. Legal? No. Our van then preceeds to get stuck in the sand. After a few prayers and reving of the engine we get out of the sand and continue on our adventure. We check out a few other beaches round town and then get lost and end up at univercity hill, which becuase of its elevation has snow....the sight of snow gives us the great idea of...going to a mountain! Off we go. Of corse we get lost on our way there...but nonetheless we made it there. Again becuase we cannot turn the car off in fear of it not starting we leave it running and begin to play in the snow. Where we parked there was a nearby park that we ran around in, but it wasnt in view of the van so we couldnt be out long...but it sure was fun.

Humility solves all problems.

My mom, for years has has problems with our neighbors. The other day, after years of not talking, she noticed that one of the ladies there has been tension with was limping. My mom humbled herself and out of concern asked how her foot was. The neighbor went to explain that she recently had surgery. My mom suggested a cane, and the neighbor agreed it would aid her. So my mom went inside and gave her a cane. Now my mom had four canes she could have given, and out of humility gave the nicest one. The cane she gave once belonged to her now deaseased husband and held alot of meaningful memories to my mom. Now, allthough my mom and this neighbor arent freidns again, the humility of my mom broke down part of that wall, and now they can hold out a peaceful conversation.

How do you know when it is too much?
