Check out Labrynth (under "My Links" to the right)...its this rad cyber prayer journey...its got some healing and deliverance in it. Its crazy...here I am by myself going through its process feeling like a geek yet at the same time feeling the spirit too. It this annointed internet program. Yet I cant help but thinking is this what the Church is coming too? Healing, deliverance and stuff like that online...with no community other then a recorded voice directing you. Check it out, test it, and leave a comment with your thots.
It can be a lenghthy experience so do it when theres time. But you can choose your lenghth too. There are stations and you can do them one at a time. Like I said its crazy...very post-modern.

In addition...
I was re-reading some of those exuses and they just erked me more and more the more I read them. The more I read them, the more I have to say...
exuse #2 "We have two kids and only one of us works"
I had a conversation yesterday with some Christians about tithing (what provoked my blog) and here is what one had to say....because my husband is the only one who works we dont put in the full 10% but we do put in $5 every week...after doing the math she realised that it is only $20 and is only 1% of their income yet went on to defend and say "Well we have two kids and only one of us works" So what!
exuse #3 "Im on welfare"
Big flippin deal! Regardless of whether you make $500 or $5000 a month you are still robbing God if you arnt tithing.
exuse #5 "I tithe my time"
This exuse probally ticks me off the most! First of all you dont even have time, its allready Gods (well so is your money...) So are we saying that if I spend an hour evangelising I can cancel out my tithe? Or on the flip side if I give my mesly 10% (I could argue we should be tithing more then 10% but that friends we will save for a whole new blog) I dont need to evangelise this week? Balony! (never thought I would use that word!)
exuse #6 "I work in the Church and dont claim the hours"
Okay, this is interesting. Lets say I work in the Church and make $10/hour and I work 10 hours and only claim 9. True I failed math, but it doesnt take a genious to figure out you worked $100 worth and claimed $90 therefore "tithed" your 10% via omision. Why not claim the 1o hours and recieve the $100 dollars thats rightfully yours, then give $10 back to the Church therefore pocketing $90 as you would when you "Worked in the Church and didnt claimed the hours". Friends this is simple, this all comes down to selfishness. We just dont want to give up our money. Its easy to work 10 hours, get paid for 9 and "tithe" that way. But it take obedience and faith to actually tithe when you have the money.
Friends, if your not a tither I hope your offended!

Okay, lets get serious here. Lets get something straight, the following are NOT exuses for not tithing...
- "I dont make alot of money"
- "We have two kids and only one of us works"
- "I am on welfare"
- "I am only 16"
- "I tithe my time"
- "I work overtime in the Church and dont claim it"
- "I buy a Bible-Study outline and forward the reciept as my tithe"
These are lame exuses. There is no exuse for not giving your income, which God provided for you, back to Him. Truth is your being disobedient and not faithful. Show the LORD you love Him and obey His comands.

Its funny.
Theres this thing I asked of God.
He said yes.
This same thing God asked of me back.
I said no.
Then I said yes, out of submission more then passion.
Then I regreted even asking God if I could in the first place becuase included in this thing was something I wanted but couldnt have, and I would rather want from a distance then not have something that was right there.
Then this other thing left.
Then God asked me again.
I said yes both out of submission and passion.
Theres this thing I asked of God.
He said yes.
Its funny.
God never changes.
Hallelujah.

Im sitting here at the keyboard in a continual motion of typing and deleting, typing and deleting. I have all these thoughts and questions that remain unanswered in my head, yet forming the words and answers seem impossible. Yet upon the wisdom of a friend I have come to the conclution that the solution to all confusing thoughts and unanswered questions is worship, worship, worship.
When I am frusterated and angry I will worship the LORD.
When I am discouraged and sad I will worship the LORD.
When I am confused and lost I will worship the LORD.
Godly worship is powerful and tears down walls. Worship presses you close to God and pushes the devil away. When you enter worship all your thoughts and concerns drift away for your full focus in on YHWH. Worship is the best tool we have against the enemy. Worship is warfare. In this war not of flesh and blood but of spirit we will not advance if we are lacking the key caponant of worship.
In addition I must add the power of the dance. This is not to be taken lightly. The dance is a stategic weapon we have to fight against the kingdom of darkness. There is so much power in dancing, obsticals are torn down, ground is taken, and walls fall down. One can dance upon injustice and you can sit and watch the justice come.

I was at the ferry terminal the other day on my way to Camp Sunrise holding my summer placements corps officers baby (phew..that was along sentance) and this guy comes up to me with his kid and starts aking me questions....how old is she? can she crawl? etc the next question was so are you still with the dad? I replied no, shes not mine. He then says so to clairfy your not with the dad right? Maybe sometime when your not babysitting...hahaha
Now there really is no point to this blog and why I wrote it, no clue...allthough I had a good laugh...besides it was my first time ever trying to get picked up...kinda flattering I must say...

What makes me angry...
- a dead-beat dad who doesnt call their daughter on her 13th birthday
- a 16 year old girl getting raped by her foster brother as a "birthday present"
- a step dad pounding his 3 year old step son for wetting himself
- a mother who tells her daughter she is worthless and unwanted
- a 13 year old girl who calls at 3:30 am in fear becuase she has no idea where she is and who all the guys with her are
- a 14 year old who thinks there is nothing wrong with drugs, sex, abortion
The above is happening and the victoms are real. Where is the justice?
I quote Stephen Court and say "Let Justice Come"

Im stealing my friend Darren Hailes' famous blog theme...Good Idea....Bad Idea...
For the record Darren Hailes recieves all credit for the good idea/bad idea theme...
Good Idea: Bringing your guitar to the beach to worship around the campfire
Bad Idea: Bringing your guitar to the beach and having someone open a bottle of shaken Mountain Dew over your guitar
Good Idea: Driving the youth home after a bonfire at the beach
Bad Idea: After droping off the last kid not asking for directions back to town and getting lost and ending up driving for an hour trying to get back.

So this girl from my previous post, Jaboah, the camper, well we met up tonight. And let me tell you...I am pumped!!! You see...as I mentioned before she was not saved and as of councelling her last summer, her salvation was still not the Lords. Well tonight me and Diana Michel who is here for the week and who councelled Jaboah with me picked her up, and she told us how much camp changed her life. How she used to drink and stuff and now doesnt and has sacrificed her friends for Jesus, how her life is so much better and how she is saved. Man, she is such a great girl.
Other camp staff reading this, be encouraged, you sow more into your campers then you think. Even if they dont show fruit immeaditly be encouraged that the harvest ripens at the right time.

Okay, so clearly I lied 8 hours ago by saying I will not be posting this week, I just have a quickie here.
We are in the middle of our VBS and we have this song we sing with the kids "Funky Chicken" if you know it. And we get the kids to make up the verses "Let me see your Funky Chicken" "Let me see your bunny rabbit" and this 6-year old Rylee says "Let me see your velociraptor scratching the church". While most of the kids where scratching the walls and ground, there was this one kid who went and scratched everyone. I tell you the truth, this kid had it right, this kid was scratching the church, those scratching the walls were just scratching the building.

Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
OH CANADA, we stand on guard for thee.
OH CANADA, we stand on guard for thee.
OH CANADA!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix.
Ton histoire est une épopée,
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
